Brian W. Cruden
|Brian Cruden is National Benefits Practice Leader – Western U.S. and Market President – Nevada for Brown & Brown Insurance, Inc. Brian has many roles within Brown & Brown’s corporate structure, which includes leading the National Employee Benefits Strategy and Initiative. In addition, Brian also leads the Nevada Retail Operations.
Brian has done more than dedicate his career to the insurance industry; he’s also helped define it. Many of the industry philosophies used today are the result of breakthroughs Brian has had throughout his career, which spans more than three decades. Over that time, he has served in several executive capacities, most notably as Executive Vice President of Nevada’s largest insurance company. He founded Insurcorp in 1992 on the heels of that essential experience, and merged with national insurance giant Brown & Brown in early 2012 to create Brown & Brown Insurance of Nevada, Inc. Today the company he started is one of the largest health and welfare brokerage and consulting firms not only in Nevada, but in the Western United States.
Brian is known for his pioneering work in the insurance industry. He has created and developed many strategies and programs that are utilized today in Fortune 500 level companies. Brian has been recognized by many top rated insurance carriers and serves on many national broker advisory boards such as Guardian Life, Lincoln Financial, Allstate, and United Healthcare to mention a few. He has a degree in business management and maintains active designation as a Chartered Health Underwriter.
Brian’s acumen is much sought-after, even beyond his Insurance involvement. He has served as Board Trustee for Nevada’s largest community bank, Board Trustee for the Nevada Community Foundation and the Trinity Schools Foundation. He has also been the Chairman of the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a Board Trustee for HCA/Columbia-Southern Hills Hospital, Chairman of Youth for Responsible Government, Founder and past president of Las Vegas West Rotary and most recently, a Nevada State Advisory Board Member for U.S. Bank.
Throughout his career, Brian has done more than build a reputation. He has also helped build the industry – an effort that continues every day, with every client.
